After a delicious buffet lunch we went to the white beach and swam in the large waves again. While most of us swam others hung out on the beach and read or napped. The water was so clear that you could see your feet. I feel like I’ll never be able to swim in Ocean City New Jersey again- you know, with the green/brown water. Around 3:00 pm Sarah, Abbey and I left the beach to go to an awesome pool by the black beach. Abbey forgot her swimsuit so we walked about 15 minuets there to get her swimsuit. Then on the way back we ran the whole way back to the pool, and for two people who don’t like to run we made good time. When we got to the pool we were there for 3 minuets and then there was a torrential downpour. After it started raining we all ran and tried to find shelter. From there we sprinted to the front desk to try and get a bus to take us back to our rooms. We were dripping wet when we got onto the bus and freezing cold when we got off. We all dried off and were able to take naps and relax. As part of the relaxing Beka was blow drying her hair when her hair got stuck in the blow dryer. She went around to the rooms asking if anyone had scissors, knifes ,or a Machete. She ended up using Andrew’s nail clippers to get her hair untangled. I was. Brushing Beka‘s hair and pulled the knot out of her hair and Katie,Abbey, Beka and I had a funeral for Beka‘s hair. We then let the hair on fire and sang a song then spread the ashes outside. At dinner Abbey received a piece of cake as large as her face, and she ate it all. Through this trip overall, God showed me that I should be confident in who God has made me to be. I am so thankful for this opportunity that God has given me and can’t wait to see what is in store for the future.
